WHO BENEFITS FROM OUR PROGRAM?

Despite a variety of support programs in the U.S., a multitude of people go to bed hungry every night. According to statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau:

About 1 in 7 Americans live below the poverty line
More than 49 million Americans are at risk of hunger
Over 48 percent of households in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps) are working households
Two-thirds of SNAP recipients are children, elderly, or disabled

Our program uses the unifying power of music to raise funds and deliver food directly to the people in our community who need it.

You can help us serve Appalachia

Musicians Mission of Mercy targets distributions in communities with a high percentage of these underserved populations, including children on subsidized school meal programs and their families.
